چکیده

Extending the fused filament fabrication process to highly filled thermoplastics in metallic powder used metal injection molding is a promising method produce small series. However, lack of adhesion between deposited filaments can cause ruptures during or debinding process. We designed simple device measure shear strength required tear off on substrate. This makes it possible quickly determine processing window for good welding filaments. developed 2D thermal simulation using finite difference while integrating enthalpy fusion and crystallization kinetics material. then fitted measurements at depths 0.45 0.75 mm under substrate surface small-diameter thermocouples. Simulation results highlight key role contact resistance evolution interface temperature. provides essential information explain that be determined experimentally. Fig. 1. Our technique enables color printing with precisely controlled gradients using a filament printer. Le : The printer is equipped with an o -the-shelf nozzle that inputs multiple filaments (three in the picture) and outputs molten mixed plastic through a single exit hole. Such devices cannot directly be used to print gradients: the transition between mixtures takes time, and this timing v...

Solid Freeform Fabrication of Transparent Fused Quartz Using a Filament Fed Process

Glass is a critical material for many scientific and engineering applications including optics, communications, electronics, and hermetic seals. Despite this technological relevance, there has been minimal research toward Additive Manufacturing (AM) of glass, particularly optically transparent glass. Additive Manufacturing of transparent glass offers potential advantages for lower processing co...

Simple and Versatile 3D Printed Microfluidics Using Fused Filament Fabrication.

The uptake of microfluidics by the wider scientific community has been limited by the fabrication barrier created by the skills and equipment required for the production of traditional microfluidic devices. Here we present simple 3D printed microfluidic devices using an inexpensive and readily accessible printer with commercially available printer materials. We demonstrate that previously repor...

Patterning of Highly Conductive Conjugated Polymers for Actuator Fabrication

Trilayer polypyrrole microactuators that can operate in air have previously been developed. They consist of two outer layers of the electroactive polymer polypyrrole (PPy) and one inner layer of a porous poly(vinylidene flouride) (PVDF) membrane containing a liquid electrolyte. The two outer layers of PPy are each connected with gold electrodes and separated by the porous PVDF membrane. This mi...
